| F1 | 5 |
| Selby Olympia | 1 |
F1 came from behind this afternoon to keep up their pursuit of a promotion spot whilst at the same time, avenging their disappointing defeat at Olympia back in December.
F1 were slow getting started although had the closest chance of the opening exchanges when a flick header by Neil Yeowart was excellenty tipped away by the Selby goalkeeper. F1 fell behind after 20 minutes when a shot from the edge of the area flew past Tom Goddard and into the net. F1 were up against a very risky offside trap that were getting all the tight calls in their favour until it was finally sprung when George Trifan sent Yeowart away for the striker to finish first time through the goalkeepers legs.
Half Time: 1-1
The 2nd half saw F1 really pick up their game and start to dominate the match. Rich Procter putting the hosts ahead with a shot which wrong footed the keeper before swiftly adding his second with a superb near post header after a dangerous cross by the excellent Rob Wilson.
Great work down the left from the fit-again Andy Procter saw his cross headed back across the goal and in from Yeowart for 4-1 before the goal of the game when neat play down the right saw Wilson fire over a first time volleyed cross which was met with a sidefooted volley of his own by Procter to complete his second hat-trick in consecutive games.
Another important 3 points to consolidate 3rd position. A week off yet again next week before a difficult looking fixture away at 2nd Division Cliffe in the cup.
